The wife of Gölhisar Mayor İbrahim Sertbaş was injured when the car travelling from Burdur towards Gölhisar went out of control and overturned in a ditch. Unfortunately, his nephew lost his life in the accident.
The accident occurred yesterday at around 17:00 on the Burdur-Fethiye highway near Tefenni Beyköy. According to the information received, the car with the registration number 15 HB 802, driven by Ömer Sait Özen (21), who was on his way back to Gölhisar with his aunt Tuğba Sertbaş (39) after taking the DGS exam in Burdur, went out of control and overturned in a ditch near Beyköy.
While the driver Ömer Sait Özen was seriously injured in the accident, his aunt, Gölhisar Mayor İbrahim Sertbaş’s wife Tuğba Sertbaş, was slightly injured. Health, gendarmerie and police teams were dispatched to the scene after the people in the area reported the incident to the 112 Emergency Call Centre.
Following the first aid of the medical teams that arrived at the scene, Tuğba Sertbaş was taken to Gölhisar State Hospital, and Ömer Sait Özen, whose condition was serious, was taken to Antalya City Hospital. Unfortunately, Ömer Sait Özen, who was under treatment in Antalya, lost his life at around 07:00 in the morning despite all the efforts of the doctors.
On the other hand, it was learned that Tuğba Sertbaş’s condition is good.
