Trabzonspor will be visiting Slovakia’s Ruzomberok team in the first match of the UEFA Europa League 2nd qualifying round. The match, which will be played at the MFK Football Stadium, will be officiated by German referee Bastian Dankert.

Trabzonspor will play its 94th match in Europe’s second cup, organized under the names of UEFA Cup and UEFA Europa League, with the match it will play against Ruzomberok. The claret-blue team, who first played against Germany’s Kaiserslautern in the UEFA Cup in the 1982-1983 season, have won 36 of the 93 matches they have played so far.
Trabzonspor had previously faced the Slovakian representatives once in the 1996-1997 season in the UEFA Cup first qualifying round against Slovan Bratislava. The Claret-Blues lost 2-1 away to their opponents and advanced to the next round by winning 4-1 at home.
