Topkapı Palace, affiliated with the Presidency of National Palaces, was opened to visitors at night for the first time since it started operating as a museum in 1924. Topkapı Palace experienced a historic day and opened its doors to visitors at night.
While evaluating the night visits, Topkapı Palace Department Head İlhan Kocaman stated that they were excited to present the rich historical texture of the palace to the visitors at night. He emphasized that every corner of the palace will be open to visitors during the night visits that will take place on Saturday evenings during the summer.
Stating that different parts of the palace can be explored during night visits, Kocaman said that it would be a special pleasure to experience the night atmosphere, especially in the Harem and Selamlik sections. He underlined that this opportunity should not be missed for visitors who want to explore the unique beauties of Topkapı Palace at night.
Topkapi Palace night visits will take place every Saturday between 21:00-23:00. Visitors will be able to visit all parts of the palace as part of this special tour. Group tours will be organized in areas without electricity and they will step into the mysterious world of the palace with guides.
During night visits, the magnificent collections of Topkapi Palace will also be open to visitors. Among the unique works in the Treasure Exhibition, rare pieces such as the Spoonmaker’s Diamond, the Topkapı Dagger and the Golden Throne will also be waiting for visitors at night.
