Horrific Incident Took Place in Karabakh

Korkunç Olay Karabağlar'da Gerçekleşti

A horrific incident that took place in the Doğanay Neighborhood of the Karabağlar district of İzmir on Thursday deeply shook the residents of the neighborhood. 49-year-old Arzu A. was threatened by the suspect Abdülhamit B. (24) who was waiting at the door of the apartment where she lived with her mother Havva B. (50).

After breaking the iron shoe rack in front of the door, the attacker kicked and punched the door, causing his tenant to experience moments of fear. Abdulhamit B. shouted loudly at his tenant “I am giving you three days, evacuate the house!” He shouted and threatened. Arzu A., who was at home at that moment, did not feel safe and had to hide behind the door and wait for the attacker to leave.

After the incident, Arzu A. immediately went to the nearest police station and filed a complaint against the landlord. However, Abdülhamit B. and his mother Havva B. tried to escape after the incident. Thereupon, the security forces began working to catch the suspects.

As a result of the meticulous work, the attacker and his mother were caught red-handed by the Karabağlar District Police Department Crime Prevention and Investigation Bureau teams. The detained duo were taken to the police station to give their statements. It was learned that the investigation into the incident is ongoing.

This incident has once again highlighted how tense the relationship between tenants and landlords can be. It is thought that more measures should be taken to prevent threats and violence, especially against tenants.
