The felt temperatures are almost 50 degrees. “I have heart disease, I have had two heart attacks, but I have to work in this heat because of necessity.”

“We are tired of the heat in Adana”

Metin Ülger, who came from Kayseri to Adana, stated that he has been going to Adana regularly for 30 years and said, “I came from Kayseri yesterday, I know Adana very well but I have never experienced such heat. The heat of Eyyam-ı Bahur is not like that around here. When I come to Adana, this heat is really disturbing. I will return to Kayseri this evening. We are tired of the heat in Adana, it is freezing where we are. The heat never touches our region. I have been coming back for 30 years but I have never seen such heat. The air conditioners here are constantly running and the electricity bill is 2-3 thousand liras per month. “It seems that we live for free in Kayseri.”
