The motion prepared specifically for the 50th anniversary of the Cyprus Peace Operation was unanimously accepted in the General Assembly of the Turkish Grand National Assembly. The motion bears the signature of the Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, Numan Kurtulmuş.
The movement called for an end to the inhuman isolation that the Turkish Cypriot people are subjected to and for the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus to be recognized internationally as it deserves. It also emphasized that stability and lasting peace in the Mediterranean region can only be achieved through a two-state solution policy.
The motion also stated that “the Turkish Grand National Assembly and the Republic of Turkey will provide full support to the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus under all circumstances.”
