Postponement Decision from TFF for 3rd Week Competitions
Turkish Football Federation (TFF) announced that the 3rd week matches have been postponed. This decision was communicated to the public with a statement made on the federation’s official website.
Why were the Trendyol Super League 3rd week matches postponed, when will they be played?
The statement made by TFF was detailed as follows:
”Among our clubs representing our country in European cups this season are Galatasaray, Beşiktaş, Fenerbahçe, Trabzonspor and RAMS Başakşehir FK. Galatasaray competes in the UEFA Champions League Play-Off Round, Beşiktaş competes in the UEFA Europa League Play-Off Round, and Fenerbahçe competes in the UEFA Europa League League Stage. Trabzonspor and RAMS Başakşehir FK are in the UEFA Conference League Play-Off Round.
Play-off competitions are of extremely critical importance for our country as they are the last stage before moving on to the league stage in European cups. In this regard, as a result of the consultations made for our clubs that will compete in the play-off stage, some competitions planned to be played in the 3rd week of the Trendyol Super League were postponed by the federation. The postponed matches are:
- Galatasaray – Gaziantep FK
- Trabzonspor – Bellona Kayserispor
- Samsunspor – RAMS Başakşehir FK
Beşiktaş club, which will play in the UEFA Europa League Play-Off competition, will be bye this week due to the fixtures. The postponed Galatasaray – Gaziantep FK match will be held on 24, 25 or 26 September. Trabzonspor – Bellona Kayserispor and Samsunspor – RAMS Başakşehir FK matches will be played on 17, 18 or 19 September. “The final program and exact dates will be announced later.”
