As a result of the Russian fighter jet’s identification of the air targets, it was determined that they were a pair of Eurofighter Typhoon fighter jets and an RC-135 strategic reconnaissance aircraft belonging to the British Air Force. The British aircraft, which encountered the Russian fighter jet, were forced to turn back from the state border of the Russian Federation.

Russian authorities stated that the plane returned safely to its airport and did not allow the border to be violated. It was emphasized that the flight of the Russian fighter jet was carried out in full compliance with international rules and security measures regarding the use of airspace in neutral waters.
