Technology Investment Made in Varaka Paper Factory

Varaka Paper, operating in Balıkesir, carries out production in a closed area of ​​110 thousand square meters within the Special Industrial Zone located on an area of ​​1,265 thousand square meters. Established with a total investment of 300 million Euros, the factory has an annual paper production capacity of 250 thousand tons and supports Turkey’s recycling processes.

Varaka Paper purchased the Valmet Bale Tester device and put it into operation in its factory in order to make a significant technological contribution to the recycling sector in Turkey. This investment is a first in its sector and is an important step within the scope of Industry 4.0.

Varaka Paper Deputy General Manager Mürşit Tetik:“We have added a new one to our technology investments by commissioning the Valmet Bale Tester device, continuing our corporate culture that closely follows current technologies. Thanks to this device, we can take samples from recycled paper bales and perform moisture, plastic, ash and Lignin analyzes without human factors. Analysis results are integrated with the ERP system and all data is recorded automatically.”
