In cooperation with the Erzurum Governorate and Yakutiye District Governorate, a special project was implemented for the children of nomadic families who go to the plateaus in the city. The children of nomadic families who go to the plateaus to graze their animals in the summer months benefit from the Quran course opportunity.
İrfan Çakmak, a religious official assigned by the Mufti’s Office, teaches children basic religious knowledge and the Quran at the Akdağ Neighborhood Mosque in Yakutiye district. Children of nomadic families living at high altitudes attend Quran courses three days a week. On other days, they help their families and play games in the nursery tent.
İmam Hatip İrfan Çakmak states that he gives Quran courses three days a week in Dumlubaba Plateau. Çakmak, who sees the positive results of the education given here, states that the children are satisfied with the education. He states that they are proud of the increase in the number of children who have started to read the Quran.
One of the immigrant families who set up tents on the plateau, İsmet Beydilli from Erzincan, said that the children were away from education during the summer months, but thanks to this project, the children are happy and come to classes with enthusiasm. Beydilli thanked Governor Mustafa Çiftçi and expressed his satisfaction with the education the children receive.
