Fire in Şenkaya Frightened
The fire that occurred in the Penek District of Erzurum’s Şenkaya district worried both the residents of the neighborhood and the region. The fire started on October 23, 2023, in the house belonging to Recep Aldemir, due to a stove-related cause.
The fire grew in a short time and caused the house, barn, barn and hayloft to completely burn down. After the fire, only an area turned to ashes remained. Recep Aldemir, who lost everything he had, is now waiting with hope for a helping hand and government support.
In the fire, 200 tins of wheat and 10 sacks of flour in the winter firewood warehouse were also destroyed in the flames. This situation will pose a great difficulty for the Aldemir family to spend the winter months.
Erzurum Metropolitan Municipality and Şenkaya fire brigades responded to the fire quickly. As a result of the work done, the fire was taken under control within two hours and completely extinguished. However, while it is fortunate that there was no loss of life, the material damage is quite large. The investigation launched into the incident continues.
