AK Party Deputy Chairman Efkan Ala and AK Party Deputy Chairman Yusuf Ziya Yılmaz provided information about their visit to China. Sırakaya stated to AA correspondent that they went to China at the invitation of the Chinese Communist Party.
Sırakaya stated that they held various contacts in Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou during the visit to China, and emphasized that bilateral relations as well as regional and global issues were discussed during the meetings.
Drawing attention to the importance of economic relations between Turkey and China in his statements, Sırakaya stated that the trade volume between the countries is 48 billion dollars. Emphasizing that Turkey should cooperate more closely with China, Sırakaya stated that this situation will also have positive results in terms of innovation and technological developments.
According to Sırakaya, the demands of Chinese business people to evaluate investment opportunities in Turkey and for Turkey to become a production base were discussed. In addition, steps that could be taken to further advance China-Turkey relations were discussed.
