Statements by Palestinian Presidential Spokesperson and Minister of Information Nabil Abu Rudeyne on the US and Israel

Filistin Devlet Başkanlığı Sözcüsü ve Enformasyon Bakanı Nebil Ebu Rudeyne'den ABD ve İsrail İle İlgili Açıklamalar

Palestinian Presidential Spokesperson and Minister of Information Nabil Abu Rudeyne, in a statement to the Palestinian official agency WAFA, evaluated the news reflected in the press regarding the US plans for the future of Gaza.

Abu Rudeyne stressed that the US plans have no legitimacy and will not be accepted by the Palestinian people. He stated that, first of all, the attacks and massacres that the Palestinian people are subjected to must be stopped.

Stating that the occupying Israel continues to commit crimes against the Palestinian people, Abu Rudeyne said that the US challenges international legitimacy with its “blind” partiality and the financial and weapons support it offers.

Abu Rudeyne stated that no plan that is not accepted by the occupation or any other party in Gaza, the West Bank and Jerusalem can have legitimacy on Palestinian lands.

Abu Rudeyne emphasized that the Palestinian people and their only legitimate representative, the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO), are the only authority that has the right to self-determination, and conveyed that Israel’s presence in Gaza and the West Bank is unlawful.

Abu Rudeyne stated that the end of the occupation and the establishment of a Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital is the only way to ensure peace and stability in the region.

At the end of June, the American newspaper “Washington Post” wrote that the occupying Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant, during his visit to the United States, discussed with officials the plan for the day after the war in Gaza.
