Buhabib’s Statement on Operation Magdel Shams
According to the statements made by the Lebanese official news agency regarding the operation that took place in the city of Majdal Shams in the Golan Heights occupied by Israel and the developments that followed, Buhabib made a statement to various media outlets.
Buhabib stated that the Lebanese government condemned attacks targeting civilians all over the world and emphasized that Hezbollah had only hit military targets in the conflicts on the border since October 8, 2023.
Buhabib stated that a tripartite commission should be established under the supervision of the United Nations Interim Peace Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) or an investigation should be launched by an international institution in order to reveal the details and facts of the Majdal Shams attack, and drew Attention to the importance of a fair investigation.
Statements by the Lebanese Foreign Minister
Lebanon’s Foreign Minister said that the attack in the Druze city of Majdal Shams could have been the action of another organization or could have been the result of a mistake between Israel and Hezbollah.
