The Council for Combating the Separation Wall (Wall of Shame) and Jewish Settlements, affiliated with the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO), announced that the occupying Israel has decided to seize a total of 12,715 acres of land belonging to Palestinians in the village of Aqraba, southeast of Nablus.

It was reported that the occupation authorities had seized Palestinian land on the grounds that the area in question was “state land” and were planning to establish illegal settlements by prohibiting their entry to the area.

It was emphasized that this decision by the occupying Israel is part of a comprehensive plan aiming to take control of the Jordan Valley and the eastern parts of the West Bank.

It was stated that 451 thousand Israelis in the occupied West Bank and 230 thousand in Jerusalem have usurped Palestinian lands and that these settlements are illegal according to international law.

It was stated that since the beginning of 2024, the Israeli occupation authorities have declared Palestinian lands as “state land” and as a result of these decisions, citizens’ access and use of their lands have been prohibited. It was noted that the total of lands seized under various names since the same date has reached 39 thousand acres.

It was stated that since the beginning of the year, 24 thousand acres of land in the occupied Palestinian territories have been declared “state land” and that a total of 39 thousand acres of land have been usurped since the said date.
