The Azerbaijan Media Development Agency has reacted strongly to this situation, stating that some media outlets based in Iran, Israel and the UK are spreading misleading and unfounded news about Azerbaijan. In particular, it was stated that the “Iran International” TV channel, the UK-based “The Telegraph” and the Israeli Public Broadcasting Organization “Kan” newspaper are producing content against international journalistic standards regarding Azerbaijan.

It was emphasized that these media outlets were spreading misleading and untrue news that “Israeli soldiers in Azerbaijan are banned from staying in the country.” The Azerbaijan Media Development Agency stated that such false news could cause misperceptions in society.

“No Foreign Country Has Military Units”

Azerbaijan Media Development Agency made the following statement: “There are no foreign military units on the territory of Azerbaijan. We strongly condemn manipulations based on false information on this issue.”The statement emphasized that the public should only trust information from official sources.
