Summer courses organized by Seyhan Municipality in order to make the summer holiday more productive and fun started at Yaşar Kemal Cultural Center. The courses, which are offered free of charge, aim to create equal opportunities among young people. Participation in the courses, which take place every day of the week, is quite intense.
Seyhan Mayor Oya Tekin stated that a total of forty-one different trainings are given in six different branches such as Drama, Adult Theatre Course, Folk Dances, Music Summer Courses, Adult Diction Course and Writing/Dramatic Writing Workshop. The courses attract great interest.
Oya Tekin said: “Adana and Seyhan are fertile cultural basins where many artists who shape Turkey’s cultural life grew up. These courses are of great importance for the discovery, training and development of these talents. We do our best to ensure that our children and young people meet with culture and art.” We provide support.”
Oya Tekin stated that summer courses contribute to the social and cultural development of children and emphasized that they enable children’s personal development, teamwork, empathy and respect for differences. She added that families should also encourage their children to attend courses.
