Sakarya Metropolitan Municipality carries out important works by protecting the rich natural beauties and historical heritage of the city. Maden Creek, one of these natural areas, was declared a ‘qualified natural conservation area’ in 2019.
Maden Creek, one of the most valuable natural areas of the city, is being comprehensively protected with the work carried out under the leadership of Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Yusuf Alemdar. Welcoming its visitors with its natural caves, picnic areas, paths and walking areas, Maden Creek makes significant contributions to the city’s tourism.
The Department of Parks and Gardens has made important arrangements in areas that pose a security risk in Maden Creek. The safety of visitors has been ensured with the construction of steel construction stairs and walking areas. In addition, new areas such as an observation terrace have been included in the project.
