Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov harshly criticized the United States in a speech. Lavrov stated that the United States is an “exception” and expects unquestioning obedience in its relations with its allies. He emphasized that the United States demands obedience from its allies even if it goes against its national interests.

Lavrov stated that America’s rules were more important than the rules of the UN Charter, and that the Euro-Atlantic security system was also under US dominance. Stating that the international legal order, stability and the UN system had been put to the test, Lavrov argued that it was necessary to go to the foundations and act together for a solution.

Stating that Russia opposes the hegemony of the West, which sees the independent policies of China and other countries as a threat, Lavrov said that the US is aggressively disrupting the global system and hitting Europe. He argued that the US is dividing the world economy with trade and economic wars.
