Following the closure of transportation due to the landslide that occurred in the Bakacak location of Ericek village in the Espiye district of Giresun, authorities took action. Espiye District Governor Taner Tengir stated in his statement on the subject that the Highways and Provincial Special Administration teams quickly started working.

Tengir stated that within the scope of the works carried out on the village group road that was closed as a result of the landslide, rock and soil cleaning operations were carried out meticulously to open the road to traffic. He reported that as a result of the intensive efforts, the road was reopened to traffic and transportation was provided to the local people.
