Protest March Held in Adana

A large protest march was held in the central Seyhan district of Adana, led by the Adana Civil Initiative Assembly (ASIM). The large group gathered in the 5 January Square, carrying Palestinian flags and chanting slogans against Israel and the US, and marched to İnönü Park. Making a statement on behalf of the group, ASİM Chairman Mahmut Erarslan emphasized that İsmail Haniyye was a martyr-loving mujahid.

Erarslan stated that Israel only massacred innocent and defenseless people and said, “The whole world should know that Israel is not a state for us, but a terrorist organization. Israel is the triggerman of imperialism, a gang of plunderers and extortionists. It is the organized form of lies, meanness and dishonesty. In the Yenişehir district of Mersin, a protest march was organized by the Mersin Palestine Solidarity Platform. The group gathered in Mersin İdman Yurdu Square, carried Turkish and Palestinian flags and chanted slogans against Israel and the US, and marched to Özgecan Aslan Peace Square. Making a statement on behalf of the group, Memur-Sen Provincial Chairman Ertuğrul Yıldız stated that they gathered to heed the call to action by the assassinated Hamas Political Bureau Chairman İsmail Haniyye and to be the voice of the people of Gaza.

Yıldız said, “Israel is carrying out the most horrific genocide in human history in Gaza. This genocide in Gaza must be stopped as soon as possible. A ceasefire must be established and humanitarian aid, especially medicine and food, must be opened. Making a statement on behalf of the group, Memur-Sen Hatay Provincial Representative Ismail Bayrakdar said that Israel has been carrying out the most horrific genocide in human history in Gaza since October 7.

Bayrakdar said, “The genocide in Gaza must be stopped as soon as possible. A ceasefire must be established, and humanitarian aid, especially medicine and food, must be provided immediately. The group gathered in front of the Zafer Mosque and marched to Cumhuriyet Square, holding Palestinian flags and chanting slogans against Israel and the US. Making a statement on behalf of the group, Memur-Sen Osmaniye Branch President Mahmut Kahraman stated that Israel has been carrying out the most horrific genocide in human history in Gaza since October 7.

Kahraman said, “We would like to remind you that global oppressors have come together and carried out a planned genocide in Gaza. Today, we have gathered here to fulfill the will of martyr Ismail Haniyeh, to respond to the call to action and to be The voice of our Gazan brothers. The Zionist Israeli regime has been carrying out the most horrific genocide in human history in Gaza since October 7.
