At the call of non-governmental organizations, a large group of people came to Sol Square in Madrid with Palestinian flags and scarves to protest Israel’s killing of more than 40 thousand people in Palestine in the last 11 months. While siren sounds echoed in the square during the protest, the Spaniards lay down on the ground and closed their eyes, commemorating the Palestinians killed by Israel.

  • Gonzalo Avila Cruz:“Every day, I search the internet and try to get information about what is happening in Palestine. No person can remain indifferent to what is happening in Palestine. I have been suffering from what I have seen since the first day. It is incredible that A genocide is allowed to happen in front of the eyes of the whole world. “45 thousand people were killed, there is still a debate about whether it was genocide or not.” “I find it repugnant that Europe does not lift a finger.”
  • Angelica Valiero:“It is an event whose consequences are very serious and affects the whole world. Allowing a country to try to eliminate a people is nothing but brutality. We all feel this way. It doesn’t matter whether it is left or right in Spain or other countries; all governments are against Palestine.” “His political use is unacceptable. Netanyahu is a murderer; Netanyahu should be stoned by the people.”
  • Maria Hernandez:“Palestine is a friendly people and it pains me greatly that they are being subjected to genocide. The international community should not only think about its own interests, but should support the Palestinian cause.”

This action symbolizes not only the suffering of the Palestinian people, but also the search for justice throughout the world. Participants called out to the governments of their countries and demanded that they take a more active role in this issue.
