A New Project in Trabzon Inspired by Kyrgyzstan
İlker Timur Demir, who went on a trip to Kyrgyzstan, was impressed by the unique atmosphere there and decided to realize his dream in his hometown, Trabzon. With this project, it aims to reflect Kyrgyz culture both in Hungary in Europe and in Turkey, especially in Trabzon.
Demir states that by assembling the original materials he brought from Kyrgyzstan to his workplace in Çal District of Düzköy, they brought this culture to those who could not go to Kyrgyzstan. “This is a single project in Turkey. We installed the original ‘boz üy’, as we call it, ‘otağ’, which was personally brought from Kyrgyzstan. Our aim is to show this beauty to our citizens and enable them to experience this atmosphere.”he says.
On the Way to Realize Your Dream Project
Demir, who went to Kyrgyzstan for sightseeing purposes, states that the atmosphere there impressed him greatly: “It started with our dreams. The trip we organized to Kyrgyzstan led us to the cultural riches there. Since we are tourism professionals, we wanted to have This beautiful experience there. However, later on, we first visited Trabzon. “We decided to bring it to our own people by moving it to . This is how our story began. We have now completed 80 percent of our work; “There is only a short distance left and then we will start accepting our guests.”
A Unique Experience in Turkey
Emphasizing that the project is unique in Turkey, Demir said: “In this project, we use ‘boz üy’ and ‘otag’, originally brought from Kyrgyzstan. We want to offer this unique atmosphere to our citizens. Our tents are approximately six meters in diameter and offer a total area of 28 square meters. We have 8 accommodation tents and one visual tent. “We furnished our visual room with local clothes, heart caps and materials belonging to the Kyrgyz culture. “Our guests can take photos here and have unforgettable memories.”he said
A Little Kyrgyzstan: Trabzon
Demir stated that they created a small Kyrgyzstan in Trabzon, “Çal Cave is one of the important tourism centers of Trabzon. Our proximity to it will contribute to the project. We also plan to develop our food concept for Kyrgyz cuisine. We will offer a special experience for those who want to find everything about Kyrgyz culture in Trabzon. Our visitors, “When they go to Kyrgyzstan, they will see exactly the same concept there.”he said
Experience and Feedback in Hungary
Demir stated that such tents are also available in Hungary, “We received very positive reactions there. We did not say ‘I wonder’ while implementing this project. Positive feedback increased our enthusiasm. We did not receive any incentives and we are moving forward entirely with our own resources.”he said Stating that they read information about Kyrgyzstan in textbooks, Ecrin Betül Demir said: “These tents are unique to Kyrgyzstan and their local clothes reflect their culture. We see these tents in lessons at school. They stay in tents because of their nomadic lifestyle. It is great that this culture is reflected here. Those who cannot go to Kyrgyzstan “can come here and experience this.”he said
