According to a report on Israeli state television, KAN, the delegation sent by Israel to Doha will meet with Qatari Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani. It was stated that the prisoner swap proposal that has been on the agenda between Israel and Hamas will be discussed during the meeting.
The report drew attention to the fact that the director of the domestic intelligence agency Shin-Bet (Shabak), Ronen Bar, and the commander in charge of missing persons and prisoners in the Israeli army, Nitzan Alon, were not among the names in the Israeli delegation. This situation raised curiosity about how the negotiations would take shape.
In a statement from Mossad, it was announced that the parties mediating the prisoner swap negotiations conveyed Hamas’ response to the ceasefire offer to the Israeli negotiating team. Following these developments, Netanyahu announced that he decided to send a delegation from Israel to the negotiations between Tel Aviv and Hamas to reach a prisoner swap agreement.
