Post-Earthquake Construction Work Continues in Hatay
Following the earthquakes centered in Kahramanmaraş, Hatay was one of the provinces that suffered the greatest destruction. This disaster caused thousands of houses to be destroyed and people to be left homeless. In Hatay, draws were made for 10,889 urban and rural houses and the keys were delivered to 3,615 families during this process. With the completion of the debris removal works, the central Antakya district turned into a vacant lot. However, as the foundations were laid within the scope of the revitalization and construction works, new buildings began to rise every day. The Antakya city center was documented by aerial images with a drone, documenting this reconstruction process.

Cebrail Neighborhood Headman Gülay Avcıoğlu, who stated that the works continue uninterruptedly, made the following remarks: “The changes in our neighborhood after the February 6 earthquake are obvious.
