In the tragic incident that took place in the Eğil district of Diyarbakır, Mustafa K. (60) and his nephew Muhammed Ali K. (18) were poisoned by methane gas while trying to clean a 25-meter deep water well. As a result of this situation, Muhammed Ali K. is in mortal danger.
The incident occurred in the evening hours in the rural Dere Neighborhood of the Eğil district. Mustafa K. and his nephew Muhammed Ali K. went down into the 25-meter deep water well to clean the well. However, their relatives, who could not get any news from the duo who did not come out for a long time, reported the situation to the 112 Emergency Call Center.
With the help of the teams and their relatives who arrived at the scene in a short time, Mustafa K. and Muhammed Ali K. were removed from the well. As a result of the examinations, it was determined that the two were poisoned by methane gas. The poisoned uncle and his nephew were taken to Diyarbakır Gazi Yaşargil Training and Research Hospital after their first intervention.
It was learned that Mustafa K.’s health condition was stable, but Muhammed Ali K.’s life was still in danger. Gendarmerie teams launched a detailed investigation into the incident.
