Physiotherapist Dayeh lent a helping hand to Majd al-Omari, a 32-year-old worker living in Gaza. Having lost part of his leg in the attacks carried out by the occupying Israelis on the Shujaiyya Neighborhood, al-Omari was fitted with a medical prosthesis with the support of his colleague Mahmoud Salim.
Hospitals in Gaza are struggling due to the lack of tools and materials needed for the production of prosthetics. For this reason, al-Omari, who works as a wood collector, can now move more comfortably thanks to Physiotherapist Dayeh. Al-Omari, who can easily do his work thanks to the prosthetic made, said, “My foot became like this after the Israeli attack while I was passing to Deir Balakh in the central part of Gaza with my family. With this foot, I “I can now do my work more comfortably, my walk has become easier. We produced such a leg because prosthetic materials were not available due to the current restrictions.”
