The fifth “Photo Safari and Nature Sports Festival” held in the Çukurca district of Hakkari hosted exciting events on its last day.
Organized by the Çukurca District Governorate and Municipality under the auspices of the governor’s office, the festival was supported by the Ministries of Interior, Culture and Tourism, and Youth and Sports. The festival, which took place in the district on the Iraqi border, featured colorful moments on the last day of the festival, with off-road shows and rafting events.
While the off-road shows held on the Bayrak Tepe road within the scope of the festival attracted great attention, the rafting event held in Zap Suyu also gave the participants an unforgettable experience.
The archery event held in Çınaraltı location and the works of photographers documenting local life and cultural values were among the notable elements of the festival.
District Governor Kumcu: “Çukurca is a Wonderful Place of Nature”
District Governor Mert Kumcu stated in his statement that colorful events were held on the last day of the festival and emphasized that the interest in nature sports was satisfactory.
Kumcu stated that Zap Suyu is an ideal place for rafting and that they will do their best to promote the region. He stated that Çukurca is a place that attracts attention with its natural beauties and cultural riches.
Rafting athlete Ramazan İlhan also stated that the festival was enjoyable and that Zap Suyu has a world-class rafting course. İlhan invited everyone who wants to discover the beauties of the region to Çukurca.
