Representatives of civil society organizations and citizens gathered in front of the Şakir Nuhoğlu Mosque in the Artuklu district under the leadership of the Prophet Lovers Foundation to support Palestine. The crowd, carrying Palestinian flags, chanted slogans against Israel accompanied by takbirs after Friday prayers.
Speaking on behalf of the participants, Yahya Turan emphasized the oppression in Gaza and how Israeli targets civilians every day, including children, women and the elderly. Turan said, “Our Palestinian brothers and sisters are resisting oppression, they have been injured, exiled and forced to migrate. But they have never surrendered.”
Protesters prayed for the Palestinians who lost their lives in the attacks. They prayed for Allah’s mercy on those who were martyred in the attacks and a speedy recovery to the injured, showing once again that they stood with the Palestinian people.
