Pakistan’s Independence Day Ceremony
The Pakistani Embassy in Ankara organized a special flag-hoisting ceremony to mark the country’s 78th Independence Day. The ceremony was held at the embassy building with the participation of many guests. The ceremony was hosted by Pakistani Ambassador to Ankara Yusuf Cuneyd.
Speaking at the ceremony, Junayd emphasized that Pakistan’s struggle for independence was a long, difficult process that required sacrifice, and said: “We must protect this independence, develop it and make it a prosperous nation. When our country develops, we will develop; when we develop, our country will grow. This is a reciprocal cycle and will create a continuous cycle of prosperity.”
Kashmir Situation
In his speech, Junaid also highlighted the difficulties faced by the Kashmiri people. “We should never forget what happened in Kashmir,”He continued his words by saying: “Illegally occupied Kashmir has literally become a human prison. We have to be their voice, we are fighting to make that voice heard and we will continue to do so.”
Türkiye-Pakistan Relations
While talking about Pakistan’s independence, the Ambassador also touched on the importance of deep ties between Türkiye and Pakistan. “I feel very proud to be in a country where everyone calls Pakistan ‘brother’,”He also stated that President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan is a true friend of Pakistan, “I would like to thank Mr. Erdoğan,”He used the expressions.
