Official Visit to Malaysia
Minister of National Defense Yaşar Güler and Director of the National Intelligence Organization İbrahim Kalın went to Malaysia for official contacts. As part of their visit, they met with Malaysian Defense Minister Dato Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin. Ministers Güler and Kalın were warmly welcomed at the Official Residence of the Prime Ministry in Kuala Lumpur, the capital of Malaysia.
Güler and Kalın also visited the Turkish Embassy in Kuala Lumpur, where they received detailed information from Ambassador Emir Salim Yüksel about Türkiye-Malaysia relations and the projects carried out. As an important part of the visit, views were exchanged on increasing defense cooperation between the two countries and strengthening intelligence sharing.
In the statement made by the Ministry of National Defense, “Minister of National Defense Yaşar Güler is paying an official visit to Malaysia together with the Director of the National Intelligence Organization, İbrahim Kalın. Minister Yaşar Güler, who was welcomed at Kuala Lumpur Airport, first visited our Kuala Lumpur Embassy and received information about the work from our Ambassador Emir Salim Yüksel. After visiting our Kuala Lumpur Embassy, Minister of National Defense Yaşar Güler went to the Prime Ministry Official Residence with the Director of the National Intelligence Organization (MİT) İbrahim Kalın. Minister Yaşar Güler and MİT President İbrahim Kalın, who were welcomed here by Malaysian Minister of Defense Dato Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin, later met with Malaysian Prime Minister Mr. Enver Ibrahim.”It was said.
