Moroccans Demonstrate Solidarity for Palestinian People
Moroccans gathered in front of the parliament building in the capital Rabat at the call of the Palestinian National Action Group, chanting slogans demanding the protection of civilians in the Gaza Strip and the prevention of Israel’s plans to displace Palestinians. The activists called for intervention to stop Israel’s attacks on the Gaza Strip.
Speaking during the protest, National Action Group member Aziz Hinavi called on the Moroccan government to end normalization with Israel and listen to the voices of the Moroccan people who continue to demonstrate in support of Gaza.
In Israel’s attacks on the Gaza Strip since October 7, 37,953 Palestinians, including at least 15,694 children and 10,279 women, have been martyred, while 87,266 people have been injured. While it is reported that there are still thousands of martyrs under the rubble, civilian infrastructure is also being destroyed by targeting hospitals and educational institutions where people seek refuge.
