Ministry of Industry and Technology “Those in Anatolia” Project Promotion Program

The promotion program of the “Anatolian People” project carried out by the Ministry of Industry and Technology took place at the Istanbul Atatürk Cultural Center. The program was organized with the participation of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan’s wife Emine Erdoğan and Minister of Industry and Technology Mehmet Fatih Kacır.

The project was implemented with the motto “Abundance, Accumulation and Skills in Anatolia” and will be supported through Development Agencies and Regional Development Administrations.

As part of the program, Emine Erdoğan and her entourage toured the “Anatolians” exhibition and learned about hand-woven fabrics, carpets, jewelry, natural scents, accessories and foods. In addition, photographs were taken with participants during the exhibition tour and Emine Erdoğan contributed to the event by making embroidery at the stand where copper products were displayed.

In the program, Minister of Industry and Technology Mehmet Fatih Kacır emphasized the richness of Anatolia and provided information about geographically indicated products and supported projects. He also announced the launch of the “Anatolian Support Program” and stated that steps would be taken to support local production.

President Erdoğan’s wife, Emine Erdoğan, emphasized the importance of the project, which aims to keep the cultural heritage of Anatolia alive, and stated that the aim is to brand local products and open them up to global markets.

Other sections of the program included speeches by chef, traveler and researcher Ömür Akkor, Talip Murat Kolbaşı and designer Dilek Hanif, a workshop by artist Fırat Neziroğlu and a panel.

The “Anadoludakiler” project aims to provide opportunities for entrepreneurs and cooperatives by revealing the richness and skills of Anatolia and to support local and regional development.
