The crew in the helicopter unfortunately lost their lives in the accident. In the examinations conducted after the incident, it was determined that the helicopter crashed in an isolated area.
According to initial findings, the helicopter crashed due to a technical malfunction. A commission from the Russian Aerospace Forces conducted a detailed examination of the scene. It was reported that there was no material damage in the Zhizdrinskiy area where the accident occurred.
Kaluga Region Governor Vladislav Shapsha also made a statement on the subject on his social media account. Shapsha announced that authorities are continuing their work at the scene of the crash of the Mi-28 helicopter in the Zhizdrinskiy region.
