A flash claim has been made about national football player Merih Demiral, who continues his career in Saudi Arabia’s Al-Ahli team. According to the news in Sabah Newspaper, Merih asked Al-Ahli, with whom he has a contract until 2026, for permission to meet with Fenerbahçe.

The national football player’s request was welcomed by the Saudi club. The news that Al-Ahli Technical Director Matthias Jaissle also wanted the club management to evaluate the offers for Allan Saint-Maximin, Merih Demiral and Roberto Firmino seems to strengthen Fenerbahçe’s hand for both Maximin and Merih.

Merih Demiral, who joined the yellow-navy team’s youth academy in 2011 and joined Portuguese team Alcanenense on a free transfer in 2016, drew attention in an interview with the words, “Fenerbahçe is a wound in me, I had dreams. Some people hindered my dreams.”

Upon this, the Fenerbahçe management took action and sent Demiral a jersey with the note, “Based on your description of your Fenerbahçe story, ‘Fenerbahçe is a wound inside me, I had dreams’, we wanted to share this. Sometimes stories that seem to have ended to come to life again at unexpected moments. As a Turkish young man who has sweated our precious jersey under the roof of Fenerbahçe and felt this spirit, we wish you endless success in the steps you take towards your goals. May the striped jersey we sent you be a light to your love for Fenerbahçe.”

The national football player, wearing the jersey sent to him, shared it on social media with the note “I will keep this valuable gift that made me very happy for the rest of my life, thank you very much. It will always be in the most special place in my heart. Thank goodness for Fenerbahçe” and received great appreciation.
