Protest in Support of Palestine
A large group of prosecutors gathered in the capital’s historic Bascarsija Square to support Palestine and condemn Israel’s actions. Filling the square waving Palestinian flags, the prosecutors made their voices heard by chanting powerful slogans. Using phrases such as “Free Palestine,” “Free Gaza,” and “Stop the genocide,” the crowd demonstrated meaningful solidarity by calling for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza.
At the demonstration, they drew attention by unfurling a banner that read, “Those who support genocide are like those who commit it.” This banner effectively expresses the feelings and thoughts of the participants. The support of the demonstrators during the march from Bascarsija to Ferhadiye Street contributed to the international dimension of the protest, as tourists in the city supported the demonstrators.
