In operations carried out by the Turkish Armed Forces in northern Iraq, it was revealed that PKK terrorists, who had left nowhere to escape, were trapped in villages. The terrorists set various traps to hide in the villages they occupied in the region, endanger civilians.
During the search and screening activities in Dergele village, weapon systems trapped by commandos were found. The traps destroyed by METİ teams were cleared to ensure the safety of civilians. In addition, two terrorists were neutralized during the operations.

As operations are carried out, security is provided along the borders and control in the region is increased.
It is emphasized that progress has been made in the operations process and security has begun to be provided in the Pençe region. The Turkish Armed Forces aim to maintain the highest level of security across the border with the troops deployed in the region.
