Palestinian Civil Defense Spokesman Mahmoud Basal said in a written statement that the Israeli army had withdrawn from the industrial zone of the Tel al-Hawa neighborhood and the Patients’ Friends Hospital. Basal said that civil defense teams found the burned bodies of Palestinians in Tel al-Hawa and the industrial zone, and that some houses had been completely burned.
The Civil Defense Spokesperson noted in his statement that they were constantly receiving distress calls from the Tel al-Hawa Neighborhood and the industrial zone, and said, “Dozens of Palestinian bodies were found in the back streets and inside houses in the industrial zone.”
According to information received from the Al-Ahli Baptist Hospital, it was announced that the bodies of 56 Palestinians were found in various parts of the Tel al-Hawa neighborhood. In a statement made by the government’s Media Office in Gaza, it was said that “there is information regarding the massacres carried out by Israel in the Tel al-Hawa neighborhood.”
Eyewitnesses reported that hundreds of homes in the Tel al-Hawa neighborhood and industrial area were partially burned or completely destroyed by Israeli forces.
