In Erzincan, under the scorching heat, beekeepers wearing special clothing and masks are experiencing the joy of realizing the first season of honey harvest. This year, the harvest season of beekeepers in Erzincan and the surrounding plateaus, which are rich in plant diversity, is quite difficult.
Beekeepers spend most of the year in the highlands. Despite the continuing hot weather, beekeepers wear protective masks and special clothing, and carefully remove the honeycombs with the help of smoke bellows to drive the bees away from the hives.
