In Orchard Park, N.Y., in January, as Travis Kelce caught a crucial touchdown pass for the Kansas City Chiefs against the Buffalo Bills, the real spectacle for many viewers was happening high above the field. In a packed luxury box, Travis’s brother, the Philadelphia Eagles’ offensive lineman, Jason Kelce, was seen shirtless, dancing and chugging beer, with Travis’s girlfriend, Taylor Swift, looking on in a mix of amusement and surprise.

This viral moment quickly made Jason Kelce a social media sensation, in addition to his success with the popular podcast he co-hosts with his brother and their appearances in Campbell’s Soup commercials alongside their mother.

Since retiring from the NFL in March, Jason Kelce’s off-screen activities have taken on increasing importance. Along with over 200 professional athletes, he has invested in various consumer brands through a private equity firm called Patricof Co, putting his money into companies like Bazooka, Cholula, and Top Golf. To date, Kelce has personally backed 20 companies, some of which he also promotes in advertisements.

In May, the 36-year-old Kelce flew from his Philadelphia home to Nashville to shoot a commercial for a moonshine brand in which he holds an investment. In the ad, he portrayed a mock quality control manager at the Ole Smoky distillery, guiding employees through the production process with enthusiasm. The film crew, including members from Shadow Lion, a company co-owned by retired quarterback Tom Brady, captured Kelce rallying the employees and leading them in a spirited chant: “Mash, ferment, condense, distill!”
