Izmir Governor Süleyman Elban visited the citizens injured in the explosion that occurred in the Torbalı district. AK Party İzmir Deputy Mahmut Atilla Kaya also accompanied Governor Elban on his visit. During the visit, Elban first visited the private hospital where the injured were receiving treatment and then went to the Torbalı State Hospital.
Governor Elban was welcomed by the hospital chief physicians and visited the injured one by one, wishing them well. He also received information about the conditions of the injured, their treatments and chatted with citizens. Governor Elban announced that the number of injured receiving treatment in hospitals had increased to 63, 40 of whom had been discharged, and the others were continuing their treatment.
Names of Those Who Lost Their Lives in the Explosion Announced
The names of the citizens who lost their lives in the Torbalı district have been determined as a result of the explosion. It was determined that the citizens named Dilek B, Havin E, Birgül S, Ruken Ç. and Evin A. lost their lives.
Fire crews continued their work in the damaged buildings on the street where the explosion occurred, cleaning the broken and dangerous windows. Turkish Red Crescent teams also began preparations to serve food to citizens.
