Istanbul Topkapi University held its 2023-2024 academic year graduation ceremony at the Istanbul Congress Center. 4,325 students graduated at the ceremony. Board of Trustees Chairman Nihat Kırmızı, Rector Prof. Dr. Emre Alkin, Galatasaray Sports Club President Dursun Özbek and many academics and student families attended the ceremony.
“You are a candidate to do things that will leave their mark on the new century”
Prof. Dr. Emre Alkin stated in his opening speech at the ceremony that the graduates will undertake important works in the new century of the Republic, and said, “You are the first students to receive their diplomas in the new century of the Republic founded by the Great Leader Mustafa Kemal Atatürk. You will be business people who are candidates to do works that will leave their mark on the next century.”
“There is Equality between Men and Women in Our University”
Prof. Dr. Emre Alkin emphasized the importance given to women’s employment at Istanbul Topkapı University and stated that gender equality is ensured within the university. He drew attention to women’s employment from academics to administrative staff.
“Above all, we are sure that you will be a good person”
Istanbul Topkapi University Board of Trustees Chairman Nihat Kırmızı made an emotional speech to the graduates and said, “The diplomas you have earned are the keys that will open the doors of the business world. However, the first condition of being a successful businessman is to be a moral and virtuous person.”
“I Dreamed of Becoming the President of Galatasaray Sports Club and I Pursued It”
Galatasaray Sports Club President Dursun Özbek, in his speech to the graduates, emphasized that dreams should be followed, saying, “Do what you love, never stop chasing your dreams.” An enthusiastic atmosphere formed among the graduates after Özbek’s speech.
