According to the statement of the Separation Wall (Wall of Shame) and the Council to Combat Jewish Settlements, affiliated with the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO), the Israeli army seized a total of 441 acres of land in the villages of Shibtin, Deir Ammar and Deir Kaddis west of Ramallah. It is stated that this decision was taken in order to strengthen the Israelis’ control over areas such as Nili and Naali in the West Bank.

The United Nations has been calling for years for Israel to stop its illegal settlements in Palestinian territories, stressing that this situation is contrary to the principle of the two-state solution. Israel’s settlement activities in the West Bank and Jerusalem are against international law.

The Israeli army carried out raids in the city of Jenin and carried out operations in the towns of Serbest, Arraba, Fekkua and Celbun. It also turned the town of Ramin, east of Tulkerim, into a military barracks and surrounded the area. Homeowners were forcibly removed and questioned, and cameras in homes and workplaces were confiscated. One Palestinian was detained in the village of Minya and three at a military checkpoint in Jericho.
