Debates on the Israeli Security Situation
According to a report broadcast by Israeli state television, KAN, Internal Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir held a closed-door meeting with leaders of the Yesha Council, the umbrella organization for East Jerusalem and the occupied Palestinian territories in the West Bank, to discuss the security situation in the West Bank.
Terror State Requests Evacuation of Fetus
Katz, a member of the ruling Likud party led by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, claimed at the important meeting that the refugee camps, which he called “centers of evil,” were under the control of Iran, not Palestine.
Katz, “The Jenin Refugee Camp must be evacuated immediately and tough measures must be taken in this region, as in the Gaza Strip.”He emphasized that Jenin Refugee Camp in particular has become the epicenter of terrorist activities.
Minister Katz also stated that the eastern border with Jordan is open to smuggling, and therefore a large and secure barrier should be built on the eastern border. He noted that these measures are critical to increasing security stability in the region.
The Foreign Ministry declined to comment on Katz’s statements in Israeli media, which sparked public debate.
