According to eyewitnesses, Israeli forces in civilian clothes, known as “Mustarib” (disguised as Arabs), raided Nablus and detained former Palestinian prisoner Mohammed Shabbaro. During the incident, armed Palestinian resistance fighters opened fire on Israeli forces in civilian clothes who were trying to board their vehicles.
In a statement made by the Jerusalem Brigade, the military wing of Islamic Jihad, it was stated that Palestinian resistance fighters clashed with Israeli forces raiding Nablus.
It is known that detentions, raids and attacks on Palestinians in the occupied West Bank and Jerusalem have increased following Israel’s attacks on the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023. During this period, 578 Palestinians lost their lives in clashes between Israeli soldiers and Israelis who near Palestinian lands in the West Bank and Jerusalem.
