An investigation into the claim that the terror state of Israel shot 6-year-old Palestinian girl Hind Rejab with a tank shell has concluded. According to the report prepared by the open source research organization Forensic Architecture, Hind Rejab was killed by gunfire from a tank on January 29.
The report found a total of 335 bullet holes in the body of the Kia Picanto. Analysis showed that the shots were fired from the right side of the vehicle. In addition, audio analysis of Hind’s cousin Layan Hamada’s phone call to the Palestinian Red Crescent, which recorded the death, showed that the shots were probably fired from a distance of 13 to 23 meters.
Audio analysis revealed that the shots were fired by Israeli forces using weapons such as the M4 assault rifle or the FN Mag machine gun used on the Merkava tank. The analysis determined where the shots were fired and that the Israeli forces fired from a point where they could see the children inside the vehicle.
The report also examined an ambulance sent by the Palestinian Red Crescent to the region but shot by Israeli forces. A fragment of a 120-millimeter tank shell was found in the wreckage of the ambulance. An examination of the wreckage revealed a 23×26 cm exit hole in the left rear door of the ambulance, and reconstruction of the impact cone allowed the direction of the shot to be determined.
The analysis concluded that the direction of the shooting was consistent with the position of Israeli tanks seen in satellite images between January 29, the day of the incident, and February 8. Hind Rejab was trapped in a vehicle that came under Israeli attack while she was fleeing with her family, and the little girl was found dead on February 10, two weeks later.
