Statement of the Islamic Scholars Foundation
The Board of Directors of the Islamic Scholars Foundation reacted to the declaration of 14 theologians titled “Sharia does not mean Islam” regarding the current sharia discussions.
Foundation President Prof. Dr. Nasrullah Hacımüftüoğlu stated that the Quran and Islam are under divine guarantee and said, “No one can change, alter or distort it.”
- Service Provocation:Prof. Dr. Hacımüftüoğlu emphasized that statements made by people who do not have scientific qualifications will serve as provocation.
- Minimizes Religious Values:Hacımüftüoğlu stated that statements that little religious values serve efforts to polarize society.
- They Upset the Theological Community:Stating that the ideas presented with false camouflage cannot change the facts, Hacımüftüoğlu expressed that they are against the statements that upset the theological community.
