The Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office has launched an investigation into the forest fire that broke out in the Yolçatı Neighborhood of the Nilüfer district of Bursa. There has been no loss of life in the fire so far. The fire broke out at around 14:30 and quickly spread to the forested area on the Uludağ University campus.
Great Efforts Were Made to Fight the Fire
Bursa Forestry Regional Directorate, Bursa Metropolitan Municipality fire brigade teams, AFAD, gendarmerie and police more than 40 land vehicles, 4 helicopters and 2 firefighting planes, along with more than 150 personnel were mobilized against the forest fire. The flames were brought under control as a result of the coordinated work of the teams against the fire, which affected a total area of 9 thousand acres.

Bursa Public Prosecutor’s Office announced that a detailed investigation has been launched into the fire. It was stated that the Deputy Public Prosecutor and a public prosecutor have been assigned to the region. The Public Prosecutor’s Office is conducting a meticulous study by examining the camera footage at the scene.
There have been no casualties or injuries in the fire so far, and fire extinguishing efforts in the area are continuing.
