INTERVENTION CONTINUES; 600 HECTARES OF LAND WERE REDUCED BY FIRE

The intensive efforts of the teams against the forest fire that started this morning in the Ermenek district of Karaman continue. 2 helicopters, 1 plane, 1 bulldozer, 1 excavator, 14 water trucks, 6 water tankers and an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) are on duty in the firefighting.

It was determined that approximately 600 hectares of land in the region was reduced to ashes due to the fire. Forest Management Directorate teams from surrounding provinces such as Karaman, Konya and Mersin are also providing support to bring the flames under control.
