Minister Hakan Fidan gave a speech at the Organization of Turkic States Informal Council of Foreign Ministers Meeting. Fidan evaluated the situation in Gaza, the Russia-Ukraine war, regional and global problems. In his speech, he emphasized the importance of cooperation to prevent the impact of global power competition on the region.

- “Regional ownership and cooperation should be our basic principles.”
- “It is our responsibility towards our history to protect the identities of our fellow patriots.”
Fidan also criticized the stance of Western countries in the Azerbaijan-Armenia negotiations, called for support for Azerbaijan and stated that a peace agreement should be signed.
Fidan also touched on the human tragedy in Gaza and stated that the Turkish World could not remain indifferent to this situation. He described Israel’s attacks on Palestinians as a violation of international law and asked for support from members of the Organization of Turkic States.
Minister Fidan stated that efforts for a lasting peace should be expanded to end the Russia-Ukraine war and that peace platforms should prioritize diplomacy.
